Re-accepted 

Yes I have had my contract extended for the next and final year (you can do the program twice) of 2016-2017.  I sent in my 'demande' for the Academie of Bordeaux but we'll see.  I should recieve some more information in June and then again later this summer before taking off again the end of September.

Update 2016-17

Hello again.  So some news, I was accepted into the Academie of Bordeaux.  This year I am being sent to a town called Agen (Ah-jan), like agent with a french accent) in the south west of France in between Bordeaux and Toulouse.  Its a town of about 30,000 people and it is the prune capital of the world I believe.  Nothing like a change of pace: good weather and an impeccably scrubbed colon.  The great news is that this time the school I'm working with sent me all my info quickly and they are in contact with me already.  I'm going to be working with only one school this time a high school that also specializes in aeronautics which sounds pretty cool.  There is an English congregation and a train that does direct routes to Avignon.

The Northern Coast

Knee length coat hands in my pockets taking one step at a time in a battle with the the wind, the sounds of seagulls low horns of passing tankers and cold water crashing against the shore.  I have a giddy smile on my face as others are pulling up their hoods, I face into the wind thinking "I'm going back to my roots. I look up to see a green light at the end of a long pier and I'm transported side by side with The Great Gatsby, I love being near the coast.   Wednesday I had the chance to go with some friends from Saint Amand on a little road trip.  We drove to the north-west stopping in Casel, Bergues, Dunkerque, and Calais.  Basically a little tromp through the western side of Flanders.  First stop was Casel high up on the top of a hill (I learned in French its not 'hilly' but 'valley-ness') a traditional Flemish town complete with a Flemish radio station, cobbled streets, windmills, and cute painted cottage farms.  From the top of the hill you can see out...
